Okanagan Valley Map

A holiday in the Okanagan Valley is like stepping in a postcard picture of summer, thanks to the number of lakes nestled across the region. Marvel at the vineyards backed by Okanagan Lake or the lakes nestled in the amphitheatre of hills, accessed by 4x4-ing, ATVing or the hikes that lead to a bird’s eye view of one or two of the many lakes sprawled below. (How many times can we say ‘lakes’ in one paragraph?) To put it simply: the Okanagan grants a fusion of family-friendly charm and rugged adventure, making it an ideal spot for all ages.

Families will find a collection of activities to do: Davison Orchards in Vernon, exploring the Myra Canyon Trestles, camping, and splashing in one of the many lakes—or try a houseboating trip. Avid adventurers can escape the beaches and head to Monashee Provincial Park, where scenic backcountry excursions await. A popular outdoor activity is to bike along the Rail Trail, skirting along Kalamalka Lake and Wood Lake. The flat terrain paired with neverending swim stops makes this ride an enjoyable full-day activity.

Lastly, there are wineries all over the region, but you can find some of the best in Lake Country. We can’t get enough of Arrowleaf Cellars, where you can enjoy a bottle of wine in front of a sloped vineyard backed by a lake at a picnic table. You won’t want to miss out on visiting this region!
