The Bradford, Bamburgh, and Seahouses Circular Walk is a lengthy adventure in Northumberland that features a mixture of countryside and coastal terrain. While out walking the trail, you will traverse the countryside towards Budle Bay in order to follow the coast, passing by the Norman-Era Bamburgh Castle and the village of Seahouses, before eventually traversing the countryside on the return. Walkers should take note that this is a long and demanding route; however, the stunning views of the sea are more than worth the required effort.

If you find yourself wanting to set out on a long-distance walking adventure in Northumberland that features a variety of terrain, beautiful coastal views, and fascinating historical sites, then the Bradford, Bamburgh, and Seahouses Circular Walk is a great option to do so.
Setting out from the trailhead in Bradford, you will initially make your way west along the road, before turning right at the junction to traverse the countryside to the north. After arriving at the edge of Budle Bay, you will follow the coastline east towards Bamburgh Castle while enjoying the views across the North Sea.
After visiting the site of the impressive Norman-Era castle, you will continue along the scenic coastal route, eventually arriving at the edge of the charming coastal village of Seahouses. As you pass through the village, don’t skip out on the opportunity to pop into Neptune’s Fish for some of the best fish and chips around! After leaving the village behind, you will make your way west to once again traverse the picturesque countryside, eventually arriving back in Bradford where you started the walk.
