Cuddy Lane Circular Walk Description
Featuring beautiful views across North York Moors National Park and little in the way of challenging terrain, the Cuddy Lane Circular Walk is a great excursion to get the family on the trails and exploring the outdoors. Navigation in some areas can be a bit tricky, so a trail map or GPS could come in handy.
Setting out from the village of Osmotherley, you will head to the northwest across the open fields and likely encounter some free-roaming cows as you climb up the hillside. After making your way through a tranquil stretch of forest, you will arrive at the summit of Beacon Hill and have some nice views of the surrounding landscape.
Keeping on to the northeast for a short distance, you will turn to the southeast and keep a wall on your right, as you head downhill across the moor to reach the shores of Cod Beck Reservoir. After taking in the views across the water, continue to the southwest along the trail until you arrive back at your starting point in Osmotherly.
