The Cycling Tour in Uzbekistan Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive to Tashkent

Arrive in Tashkent, where you’ll be picked up by your guide and taken to your hotel to relax.
Start the day with breakfast at a cafe in city. You’ll take a morning tour of the Uzbek capital, visiting the old city of Tashkent, a colorful Chorsu bazaar, the Hazrati Imam complex with the Juma Mosque and Madrasah Barakhan Khan mausoleum, and more.

Have lunch, then spend the afternoon getting your bike fitted. In the evening, you’ll transfer to the train station. Leave by night train, riding through the night to Bukhara.

Day 2 Discovering Bukhara City

Arrive in Bukhara, then have breakfast. Bukhara is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, and it’s still an important spiritual and commercial center. Visit the heart of the old town, then walk through the park to see the Samanid Mausoleum and Chashma Ayub Mazar. After lunch, you’ll walk through the market domes.

Enjoy dinner after a full day and then spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3 Transfer to Urtagurgon and Ride to Sarmish

In the morning, transfer by car to Urtagurgon, then start cycling to Sarmish through farming villages. You’ll eat lunch on the road. Arrive in Sarmish, where you can see preserved cave drawings dating from the Bronze Age.

After dinner, set up your tent and spend the night under the stars.

Day 4 Transfer to Nurata and Cycling to Aydarkul

This morning, depart by car to Nurata. Visit the mosque and the sacred pond. Savor a lunch of grilled lamb in a Chaikhana. In the afternoon, continue cycling to Lake Aydarkul. When you arrive, settle into the yurt camp near Lake Aydarkul for a night in the middle of the desert steppe.

This afternoon, take a camel safari or a swim at the lake. Spend the evening around the fire with a Kazakh troubadour.

Day 5 Cycling to Hayot

Start today with a morning ride in the direction of the green valley of Hayot, inhabited by Tajik people in stone houses along the river and bordered by ancient walnut trees over 300 years old.

Freshen up at the guesthouse and eat lunch. After lunch, you’ll tour the village, then it’s time for dinner and bed.

Day 6 Hiking to Pangat

You’ll spend today in nature, hiking to Pangat and then travelling by horseback and on foot, accompanied by a local mountain guide. Have a picnic lunch. Once you arrive, have dinner and spend the night at the guesthouse in Pangat.

Day 7 Cycling to Samarkand

This morning you will travel to Samarkand, first by cycling through farming villages to Mitan. Lunch will be on the road. You’ll then drive the rest of the way to Samarkand. Arrive, check into your hotel, eat dinner, and then spend the evening relaxing.

Day 8 Sightseeing in Samarkand

Today, enjoy a city city tour, which will include the Ulugbek Observatory, the Afrosiab museum complex, the necropolis of Shakhi-Zinda, and lots more. Eat lunch downtown, then continue your tour with the Bibi-Khonum Mosque and a market. You’ll have lunch in a traditional Uzbek house.

This evening, wrap up your touring at the famous Mausoleum of Guri Emir.

Day 9 Travelling Back to Tashkent
