This 13-day cycling tour leads you across Southeast Asia from Vietnam to Cambodia

Southeast Asia is home to a world of jungles, temples, incredible landscapes, and delectable food. On this 13-day cycling journey, you will visit both Vietnam and Cambodia, stopping in fantastic places from cities to floating villages to fully understand what life is like in this magical part of the world.

Start in the chaotic Ho Chi Minh, formerly known as Saigon, the bustling metropolis in southern Vietnam. Spend the first afternoon getting acquainted with this vast city, hitting the well-known attractions at your leisure. The cycling tour begins on Day 2. Set out from the city and head into the Mekong Delta. You will spend a few days engaging with the locals, learning about their traditions, farming practices, crafts, and tasting the local fare that will have your tummy rumbling as soon as you smell it.

A week into the cycling adventure, you’re given a rest day when you hop on a boat and cross into Cambodia. In this undeniably spiritual place, you’ll be cycling to archaeological parks that protect ruins from the 6th century, namely Sambor Prei Kuk and the iconic Angkor Wat. You’ll end the tour with a visit to a serene lake and floating village, then back to Siem Reap for departure.

Cycling through Vietnam and Cambodia is one of the most remarkable ways to explore these nations. It takes time to notice the fine details, and pedaling along the canal pathways and through ride paddies is a way to feel it—you’ll soon learn this in Vietnam and Cambodia: you don’t “see” these countries, you feel them. They will stick in your memory forever, especially on a cycling tour like this!
