Wildcat Canyon Connector Trail Description
The Wildcat Canyon Connector Trail is a great hike for folks looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful section of Zion National Park. This trail may not have the jaw-dropping vistas of the main canyon, but it is so beautiful in its own way. As with any hike in the desert, make sure you bring lots of water with you as there are no places to refill along this route. The nature of this hike makes it a fantastic place to see desert flora and fauna; set out on this trail in late spring to see Zion in bloom.
From the Hop Valley trailhead, head across to the south side of the road and follow the trail eastward. Approximately 0.2mi in, you will cross a 4-way (trail) intersection- just keep going straight. The Connector trail continues on for another 3.4mi, looping through grassland, slickrock, and ponderosa pine forest before connecting with the Wildcat Canyon Trail.
From here, turn left and follow the path up to a turn-around point at the Wildcat Canyon Trailhead, then follow the same trail back to the Hop Valley Trailhead where you began.
