Thunderer Cutoff Trail Description

The Thunderer Cutoff Trail is a rugged adventure in Yellowstone National Park. This trail travels through bear country. Before heading out, brush up on your bear safety knowledge. At least one member of your hiking party should carry a canister of bear spray and know how to use it properly. With low traffic year-round and incredible mountain views, the Thunderer cutoff trail is a great place to go for a hike away from the crowds and tourists. If you are an experienced hiker looking for a fun adventure, this is a great trail for you.

Beginning at the Thunderer Trailhead, follow the path east to Cache Creek. Once you reach cache creek, turn back and retrace your steps back to the Thunderer Trailhead where you began.
