Moose Falls Descritpion
The Moose Falls Trail is a short and sweet hike to a gorgeous waterfall in Yellowstone National Park. This trail is extremely short and not much of a hike, but it is a good spot to stretch your legs and snap some photos. Moose Falls itself is a stunning plunge-type waterfall that was named for a large number of moose found in the area by early European explorers.
To hike to Moose Falls, park at the pull-off on South Entrance Road, then follow the trail a short distance east to the base of the waterfall. Bask in the beauty of the falls before turning around and retracing your steps back to the parking area where you began.
If you are looking for a longer hike in the area, check out the Lewis Lake Trail just up the road.
