Eleanor Lake Trail Description
The Eleanor Lake Trail is a lovely little hike in Yellowstone National Park. This trail may not be a grand adventure but it is a great way to stretch your legs and explore a low-traffic area of the Park. The Eleanor Lake Trail is short and easy and appropriate for families with young children. The Lake itself is a good spot to fish for trout; fishing in Eleanor Lake is usually permitted beginning in mid-July.
Beginning at the Avalanche Peak Trailhead, follow the path as it circles around Eleanor Lake. For a fun detour, check out the little waterfall located just off the trail near the southeast corner of the Lake.
