Badger Trail Description

Hiking the Badger Trail is a bit of a mixed experience due to the variation in terrain. On the one hand, the route passes through some beautiful stretches of forest with scenic views; however, to access this part of the hike, you will need to complete most of the journey through a residential neighbourhood. The plus side of this is that you won’t need to worry about technical terrain or getting lost!

The trail sets out from the edge of Christina Lake and follows E Lake Drive to the north. After crossing over the creek, turn right onto McRae Road and follow it for 0.7mi. Here, you will need to head right to enter the forest and begin your brief climb up to Mary’s Lookout. From this vantage point, you will have a nice view overlooking the wooded shores of Christina Lake below you. Continue north along the trail to complete the loop, before meeting back up with E Lake Drive and following it along the edge of the lake and back through the residential area to your vehicle.
