When visiting the Waterton townsite, you must check out the Prince of Wales Hotel. Walking the Prince of Wales Loop Trail will take you around the hotel grounds for shifting views and new perspectives.
Getting there
From the townsite of Waterton, travel east along Highway 5 and turn into the parking area just after the Prince of Wales Hotel. This is the trailhead for Prince of Wales Loop, Linnet Lake Loop, and the Kootenai Brown Trail.

Prince of Wales Trail Description
From the parking area, find the trail that heads back towards the Prince of Wales Hotel. You will follow the lakeshore and make your way to the hotel before looping around it. There’s an opportunity to connect this trail with the short Linnet Lake Loop.
This short trail and its surrounding counterparts are great for families with strollers or those requiring mobility assistance.
