Eagle Meadow Hike Description
The Eagle Meadow Hike is a stunning hike that can be enjoyed by hikers of all skill levels and ages. Explore Eagle Meadows and revel in the topographic diversity of California’s wilderness. As this path wanders through exposed terrain, it is important to wear sun protection to avoid overexposure! Additionally, when trekking in the summer months, be mindful of rattlesnakes. As this route is shared with horses, be mindful of passers-by. Note you need a wilderness permit which can be picked up at the trailhead.
Embark on your adventure from the trailhead off Eagle Meadow Road. From here, hike northwest over the road and into Eagle Meadows. Hiking north, this route will expose plenty of views of Eagle Creek, a charming stream that divides the meadowlands. As you wander, be sure to admire the distant vistas of the snow-capped Sierra Nevadas. Eventually, the path will redirect you east over Eagle Creek. At this point, you will be redirected south through the lush meadowlands.
As you hike in this direction, you will be granted commanding panoramas of Eagle Peak in the south. Following this path, you will ultimately be delivered back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
