Getting there
To get to the Hinton Ampner and Winchester Walk from Alresford, head southwest on Jacklyns Lane/B3046 toward Salisbury Road and turn left onto Petersfield Road/A272. Turn right onto Hinton Hill and you will arrive at your destination in 0.3mi.

You will come across small ponds, streams, cottages with thatched roofs and open country lanes that you can explore. This is a long path that will give you a workout. The path begins near New Cheriton and continues through the countryside until you reach Winchester. Do note that this is a one-way trail, so it’s beneficial to think about how you’ll get back to your car once you reach Winchester.
