Seville Lake Trail Description

The Seville Lake Hike is an enchanting adventure that explores lush woodlands of mixed conifers, wildflowers, and a diversity of flora. Get a wonderful workout in as you meander through the backcountry and enjoy mesmerizing scenes of the Sierra Nevada. Compared to other routes in the area, this path boasts a more tranquil and arguably more scenic experience—so you know we hold it high on our list! Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.

Setting out from the trailhead, the Seville Lake Hike follows the Sugarloaf Entrance Trail southeast into the wilds. Gradually climbing through the woodlands, the route will redirect you east over Rowell Creek. Note this stream tends to dry in the summer months, so make sure you have an adequate amount of water with you. Here you will encounter an intersection, veer right, and you will be diverted onto the Belle Canyon Entrance Trail. Follow this path away from the streams bound by meadows and back into the forest.

Diving down into Belle Canyon, you will confront another junction; turn right onto the Seville Lake Trail. This lovely path will guide you through the basin to the charming lake framed by the rocky ridges anchored by Kettle Peak. Revel in the scenery, then head back the way you came.
