Secret Slick Rock Trail is a hidden gem in Sedona. It’s a very quick hike and easy enough for essentially anyone, but the views equal that of a much more involved adventure. It’s perfect if you need a good photo spot that isn’t too tough to get to or if you’re wanting a quick hike to complement a day on other nearby trails. Expect light traffic on this route.

Secret Slick Rock Trail Description
Secret Slick Rock Trail might be short, but it’s well worth the stop. This little hike has standout views of Cathedral Rock that can be enjoyed with very little effort, making it a wonderful photo spot or a finisher to a longer day of hiking. All ages and skill levels can use this trail.
Note that there is this trail and a Super Secret Slick Rock Trail, which runs parallel to the north. When navigating, keep in mind that these similarly named trails are right next to each other.
From the trailhead, the hike curves southwest. There are no junctions until the end of the trail, so navigation shouldn’t be a challenge. Stroll along your perch above Crescent Moon Ranch and Oak Creek, admiring Cathedral Rock in front of you. From the junction with Super Secret Slick rock Trail, turn back and return on the same route.
