Chicken Point via Broken Arrow Loop Description
This hike takes you to Chicken Point, a popular viewpoint over Sedona via the Broken Arrow Trail, which is a classic for hikers, mountain bikers, and OHV-ers thanks to its stellar scenery. This loop has excellent scenery and gives you access to the Devil’s Dining Room sinkhole as well.
Bring plenty of water and plan for the hot desert sun if you’re hiking between May and October. Watch for mountain bikers on this hike and remember to share the trail.
Beginning from the end of the road, hike down to where the trail splits. You’ll loop the butte in front of you, staying right and then heading between the Twin Buttes to turn right onto High on the Hog Trail. Walk down to Chicken Point, snap a few photos of the stellar view, and then return, keeping right to return to the trailhead. You can make a side trip to the Devil’s Dining Room sinkhole on the way back if you’re interested.
