Immerse yourself in nature and escape the hustle and bustle of the city along the Sawyer Lake Trail. Traveling along an ambient creek lined with towering pines and golden aspens, the relaxing sounds and stunning scenery is sure to impress any adventurer. Let the gorgeous views motive you to persist up to the charming alpine lake. As you will be trekking through the wilderness it is important to be mindful of wildlife and consider wearing a bear bell to deter unwelcomed encounters.

Departing from the Sawyer Lake Trailhead, track the Sawyer Trail south, wandering beneath the timberline of lush evergreens and vibrant aspens. Intersecting with several alpine streams, be sure to mind your footing to avoid a soggy shoe. Passing through the odd meadowland, you will be granted amazing views of the mountainous landscape that surrounds you. Follow the forested route through the woodlands all the way up to the shimmering alpine lake.

Sawyer Lake boasts incredible views! The glittering waters are encircled by towering pines and bounded by dramatic summits. Explore the shoreline of the alpine lake and dip your tired feet in the chilly waters. When you are ready, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
