Yurok Loop Trail

The Yurok Loop Trail is a beautiful adventure through the lush coastal forests and along the coast of the Pacific—boating breathtaking maritime vistas. This route is one of our excursions in Northern California, and we think you will too! Due to the route’s proximity to the ocean, you can expect extreme conditions—especially fog and wind, so we encourage you to dress in layers!

Setting out from the trailhead, this route travels northwest along the Coastal Trail/Yurok Loop Trail. Not long after your departure from the trailhead, you will confront an intersection. Keep left along the Yurok Loop Trail. This path will cross over two streams before reaching another junction. At this point, veer left along the inland route through the lush coastal forest, past Lagoon Pond. Turn right onto the Coastal Trail/Yurok Loop Trail at the next trail fork.

This route will guide you north, exposing awe-inspiring coastal views. Revel in the postcard-worthy scenery as you follow the path all the way back to the trailhead.
