Shatton Moor Circular Walk Description

The Shatton Moor Walk is a popular family-friendly walk in the Peak District due to its easy-to-navigate trails and relatively laid back terrain. The trail sets out from the Bamford railway station and traverses the open countryside to the west, climbing gently uphill through the scenic farmland until you reach the slightly more rugged landscape of the moor. From here, you will walk along the eerie, yet beautiful Shatton Moor as you take in the spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside. After passing by Overdale Brook, make your descent along the hillside to eventually return back to the railway station where you began the walk.
