Chatsworth Trail Description

Walking the Chatsworth Circular Walk is an awesome, family-friendly adventure in Derbyshire due to the easy-to-navigate trails, beautifully scenic Peak District landscape, and historic Chatsworth House that has been retained by the Cavendish family since 1549. Setting out from the car park, make your way east to climb uphill for some amazing views overlooking the surrounding landscape. Upon reaching the top of the hill, head north through the tranquil woodland terrain that makes up much of the grounds surrounding the historic country house. After passing by several charming lakes on your right, head west to descend the hillside and cross over the River Derwent on the way to the village of Edensor. After making your way through the village, follow the trail south to once again cut across the estate grounds and pass through New Piece Wood on the return journey to the car park where you began.
