Sun Peaks Trail Description
Hiking in the Sun Peaks area is a great way to explore some truly stunning subalpine terrain that is otherwise only used for winter sports use. Setting out from the Hearthstone Lodge at the resort, follow the trail to the west and pass by the buildings to reach the bottom of the Sun Burst Express chairlift. From here, cross over Armitage Creek and follow it to the north along the Homesteader ski run. Hike your way up the grassy hillside and take in the amazing views of the surrounding area, as you gain elevation and work your way to the top of the hill. Once there, make your way south towards the chairlifts and pass them by to descend the Crystal Line ski run alongside Resort Creek. Head east and cross over the creek while enjoying the remaining views overlooking the resort, as you hike back down towards the trailhead where you began your journey.
