The Lac du Bois Tower Loop is a 4.0mi hiking circuit northwest of Kamloops that will allow you to experience the beauty of the rolling grassland landscape within Lac du Bois Grasslands Provincial Park. Along the trail, you will loop through the countryside around a hilltop tower surrounded by rolling green hills and the vast expanse of the open blue sky. This is a great hike with gentle inclines that is suitable for casual and experienced hikers alike.
Getting there
To arrive at the trailhead for the Lac du Bois Tower Loop from Kamloops, head north on 8th Street for 0.8mi and continue straight onto Batchelor Hills Drive. Follow this for 1.7mi and make a slight left onto Lac du Bois Road. After 2297ft, make another left and you will find the trailhead in 1148ft.

Lac du Bois Tower Loop Description
The Lac du Bois Tower Loop is a fun outdoor adventure that will take you through the undulating landscape to the northwest of the city with some amazing views across the valley. Setting out from the trailhead, make your way west and head right at the fork to begin your loop through the rolling green hills that characterize the landscape. The trail will follow a wide loop around the hilltop tower to your left as you head north along the creek. Reaching the northern tip of the trail, continue following it around the backside of the hill, where you will have some nice views across the valley and the city of Kamloops nestled within it. Follow the trail east to return to the parking area where you began your hike.
