Expect to revel in varied scenery, ranging from riverside views to a forest setting to a chance of spotting ponies and pigs on the Copythorne and Cadnam Common Walk. The low elevation gain makes this a fun adventure for all ages, but it can get super boggy during the wetter months, so it’s best to take on this route when it’s dry out!

Copythorne and Cadnam Common Walk Description

Grab your entire family and head to New Forest National Park for the Copythorne and Cadnam Common Walk! This walk winds by the river, through a forest setting, and as you walk, you may be able to see ponies and pigs roaming the land! However, note that it can be super wet in wetter months, so you may want to save this one for warmer weather. Setting out from the bus stop (with your back facing it), head right along Pollards Moor Road toward Vicarage Lane, where you’ll take a left. Continue along, walking toward Romsey Road and cross the M27. Keep straight until you reach a T-junction and turn right here to go towards the Copythorne Common! This junction marks the start of your loop. Enjoy meandering through the trees and revelling in river views as you make your way around the circuit. When you reach the same T-junction, you’ll take a right to go back along the same path you came to form a lollipop route.
