Acharn Forest Walk

Begin the walk on the main road in Killin, crossing the Dochart Bridge to get there. Keep an eye out for the War Memorial, and take a left onto the gravel road that leads you past two small bungalows. Follow signs for the National Route 7 Cycle Path, passing through a gate before turning right to join the old railway line. Breath in the fresh forest air and hear the birds sing as you remain on the broad path that leads to a junction of tracks. Take a left, tackling a gentle slope, then continue to walk on the cycle path. At the next junction, ignore the signs instructing to turn right for Glen Ogle, instead, bearing left to complete the loop back to Killin where the walk began. A moderate descent rounds out the trail as you return to the railway line and pass through the gate before returning to the car park.
