Blea Rigg Circular Walk Description

Although the route can be a bit challenging in certain places, the Blea Rigg Circular Walk is a fantastic adventure that will expose you to some of the most scenic views that Lakeland has to offer. Setting out from the car park in the village of Grasmere, the trail will first skirt around the edge of Grasmere Lake before climbing up the steep slopes of Silver How. Here, the trail will turn to the northwest and pass by Lang How Tarn before traversing the summits of Swinescar Pike and Blea Rigg. This portion of the walk will produce some beautiful views overlooking the Great Langdale Valley before turning to the east to descend the hillside on the way to Easedale Tarn. From here, the return leg of the walk will pass through some beautifully scenic landscapes, as you pass by Easedale Tarn and Helm Crag on the way back to Grasmere where you began the walk.
