Route Description for Belianska Jaskyňa

The Belianska Jaskyňa hike starts in the town of Tatranska Kotlina, whose main attraction is the Belianska Cave you are heading to. Park your car at the paid car park, and start by walking through a local tourist market. It’s really easy to see the trail, which is the only one here.

Although it’s an easy short hike to Belianska Jaskyna, all the 20 minutes of it you will be ascending. But do not worry, the path is really wide and comfortable.

Along the trail, you will see some great overlooks with benches to take a rest. The views here are really great and different from the center part of the High Tatras. This part of the national park is called the Belianske Tatry and although the mountains here are lower, it is a lot greener due to the dense green pine forests that cover almost every meter in the area. The flora here is a lot more diverse as well due to a lower number of visitors. It is home to wolves, brown bears, lynx, and many more animals.

It’s a great hike for kids as it has a lot of information boards telling all about the animals living in the surrounding area.

As you walk to the Belianska Cave, you will have to pay 8 Eur fee for an adult to get in. If you want to take pictures inside, you will have to pay an additional 10 Eur fee for the camera.
