The Brixham and Mansands Circular Walk is a fun adventure along the South Devon coast that will not only take you to the beach, but will also provide some charming seaside views. While out on the trail, you will traverse the undulating terrain south of Brixham and descend towards Mansands Beach before climbing back uphill for cliffside views across the water. There are a few steep climbs along the route, but the gorgeous views are certainly worth the trouble.
Getting there
To access the trailhead for the Brixham and Mansands Circular Walk from the Heritage Museum in Brixham, head east on New Road/A3022 for 130ft and turn right onto Bolton Street, following it for 0.3mi. Continue straight onto Greenswood Road for 453ft, keeping straight onto Drew Street. After 0.2mi, you will arrive at the starting point in front of the Skipper Inn.

Brixham and Mansands Trail Description
Walking the Brixham and Mansands Circular Trail is a popular activity in Brixham not only for walkers that are after scenic views and a bit of exercise along undulating terrain, but also for those looking to walk to the beach. Setting out from the trailhead in front of the Skipper Inn, you will head southwest along the road and turn left onto Southdown Hill, following it out of the city to climb uphill across the open fields. Eventually, you will descend the hillside and arrive at Mansands Beach, a great spot to lay out on the sand and enjoy the lovely seaside views. From here, you will make your way to the northeast and climb up the steep hillside, traversing the cliffside terrain and taking in the views of the English Channel as you work your way towards the Sharkham Point National Nature Reserve. After exploring the area, head to the northwest and pass through the city on the return leg of the journey to the trailhead.
