Then you’ll walk towards the village of Midford through the lush fields and meadows of the lovely English countryside. This walk reaches Upper Twinhoe Farm, where you’ll have some lovely pastoral views.

Getting there

To get to the Wellow – Midford – Upper Twinhoe trailhead you can park in the village of Wellow. Walk down High Street to the junction of High Street and Railway Lane. The walk begins on the path across the road from the Fox & Badger Pub.

This family-friendly hike passes through the charming historic village of Wellow where you’ll enjoy walking past picturesque cottages and buildings built from the iconic honey-coloured stone.

Begin your walk from Wellow and journey through the rolling fields of the beautiful countryside. You’ll come across a few pretty woodlands on your way to Midford. Before you reach the village, you’ll turn back and walk in the direction of Middle and Upper Twinhoe. You’ll love the beautiful views from Upper Twinhoe at the end of the hike. You can retrace your steps to return to Wellow or take the shortcut by walking back via Twinhoe Lane.
