The Swinbrook and Fullbrook Circular Walk is a beautifully scenic experience in Oxfordshire that will take you through some of the lovely countryside landscapes that can be found within The Cotswolds AONB. Along the trail, you will make your way through charming villages, open fields, and atmospheric forests that produce a real sense of relaxation, allowing you to let go of the outside world and reconnect with nature. Wellies are a must if you are planning this walk in the winter/spring, as the ground will likely be fairly muddy.

Getting there

To reach the trailhead for the Swinbrook and Fullbrook Circular Walk from Burford, drive southeast on A40 for 1.7mi and turn left to continue on for 1.1mi. Make a right here and park alongside the road to begin your adventure.

Swinbrook and Fullbrook Circular Walk Description

Walking the Swinbrook and Fullbrook Circular Trail is a lovely experience that will allow you to fully disconnect from the realities of everyday living and simply enjoy the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside. Setting out from the trailhead in Swinbrook, make your way past the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin and continue along the road to access the open farmland to the north. From here, you will cut across the fields to the northwest and make your way through the beautiful woodland terrain of Widley Copse before making your way into the charming village of Fullbrook. From here, follow the road leading to the east and turn to the south in the clearing between the trees to make your way gently downhill, eventually reaching the Church of Saint Oswald. Head east across the countryside to arrive back in Swinbrook, having completed your journey.
