Haresfield Beacon Walk Description

The Haresfield Beacon Circular Walk in Gloucestershire begins on the National Trust Haresfield estate. As you walk along a stretch of the Cotswold Way, you’ll have beautiful views of the Severn Valley from the hilltops. The walk wanders through farmland and grassy meadows with wide-open Cotswold countryside.

Then you’ll walk through quiet woodland trails going through Standish and Maitlands woods. Near the end of the loop, you can try and locate the natural boulder known as Cromwell’s Stone, which is said to be the point from which Cromwell surveyed the area.
