Note that there are several route changes, and most trails are not properly signposted, so we suggest using the trail GPS to navigate the terrain easily. Additionally, there are several steep and rocky sections, so wear sturdy footwear and mind your footing!

Embark on your adventure along the Red Rock, Lion, and Section 16 Loop from the Red Rock Canyon Trailhead. From here, track the rightmost Old Quarry Trail, heading south along the mesa, merging onto the Red Rock Rim Mesa. This route will pass the Lyons Sandstone Quarry before connecting with the Lions Trail. Hike south until the route’s end, where you will be diverted onto the White Acres Trail. Venture along this path, turning left onto the Ridgeline Trail at the next junction. Soon you will begin to hike along the Section 16 Trail through meadowlands and up to the High Drive Trail.

Wander this path north through the Bear Creek Canyon, back onto Section 16 before merging with Red Rock Loop. Hike this passage up to Wheeler Pit and onto Landfill Road.
