Edna Mae Bennett Loop Description

The Edna Mae Bennett Loop will guide adventurers through the southern side of Palmer Park. Meander through the rocky outcroppings and mixed pine forest along this loop. Revealing commanding sights of Front Range foothills in the west, there is no shortage of scenery to enjoy. Note that there are many trails in this park, so it is easy to get lost, but no worries, it’s fun getting off track and exploring what the area has to offer. If you want to make sure you stay on the correct path, consider bringing along the trail GPS.

Departing from the North Canyon Trailhead off Paseo Road, track the North Cañon Trail north. This path will begin to climb into the park, passing some stables. Continue along the route until you reach an intersection. Here, keep left, and you will be diverted onto the Templeton Trail. At the next intersection, turn right onto the Edna Mae Bennett Nature Trail. Follow this path through the granite outcroppings dotted with pine trees.

This section of the path will reveal sights of the cityscape and the Front Range peaks that dominate the skyline. Continue tracking the Edna Mae Bennett Nature Trail through the park, and it will eventually deliver you back to the intersection with North Cañon Trail. Here, retraces your footing down the path, back to the trailhead.
