Cheyenne Mountain Long Loop Description

The Cheyenne Mountain Long Loop lives up to its title—it’s long! Though lengthy, this trek exhibits the beauty of the area as it guides adventurers through dense woodlands and lush meadows that expose epic mountain views. Explore the area’s flora and fauna as you venture the dirt path. Shared with bikers alike, make sure you are aware of passers-by! This route can also be confusing as several path changes occur, so we suggest using the trail GPS! Finally, note that visitors are subject to an entrance fee which typically costs about $9USD.

Embark on your adventure along the Cheyenne Mountain Long Loop Trail from the Coyote Run Trailhead. From here, hike south along the Coyote Run. Soon you will reach an intersection with the Sundance Trail. Hook onto this path and hike southwest through the meadowlands. Enjoy sights of Cheyenne Mountain, and the path will eventually curve north. Follow the Sundance Trail until the route’s end. Here, track the leftmost Zook Loop west before merging onto the Blackmer Loop Trail north.

Soon you will begin wandering east along the Boulder Run Trail, hooking onto the Raccoon Ridge Trail. When you reach the Acorn Alley Trail, track northwest and the Bobcat Way, at the path’s end, take the Soaring Kestral Trail south, merging onto the Coyote Run Trail, which will deliver you back to the trailhead.
