Confluence Overlook Trail Description
The Confluence Overlook Trail is a fantastic hike over varying desert terrain. This hike has some steep scramble sections, so be sure to wear proper footwear with good grip. Bring along a snack or a lunch to enjoy at the picnic site overlooking the Confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers at the end of this trail.
From the Big Spring Trailhead, follow the path westward. The first section is rocky and rugged with steep ups and downs but the trail will eventually even out into a relaxing sandy stroll over relatively flat ground.
At the overlook, enjoy the view of the Colorado River and Green River below before turning around and following the same route back out to the trailhead. If you are looking for a short addition to your day, the Big Spring Overlook trail shares the same trailhead and is worth the short hike out-and-back to its two beautiful viewpoints.
