The Highline Trail is a multi-use trail in Canmore that travels westbound to Quarry Lake and the Powerline Trail before looping back to the starting point. It is a stunning route that offers incredible views along the way. It is a busy trail filled with hikers, bikers, and runners, so watch for traffic along the way.
Getting there
To get to the Highline Trail, join Highway 1 eastbound from Canmore, taking the exit for Three Sisters, and staying right off the exit. Continue onto Three Sisters Boulevard, passing a four-way stop. When you reach the end of the street, turn right onto Hubman Landing and park on the street.

Highline Trail Description
From the intersection of Three Sisters Boulevard and Hubman Landing, make your way to a large gate. Pass by along the side and begin heading towards the forest. As you enter the forest, you will find signs for the Highline Trail to follow. The trail heads up Three Sisters Creek before turning westbound to Quarry Lake and the Powerline. When you reach this junction, take a right to the Powerline Trail to return to the start. If you would like to detour to Quarry Lake for a break, it is a great option to cool down or even enjoy a picnic. Head back to the starting point on the Powerline Trail.
