The Piracy Point Trail is a short and sweet hike to an incredible viewpoint in Bryce Canyon National Park. This trail is flat and well maintained, so it’s a great hike for folks of all abilities and kids of all ages. From the Piracy Point Overlook, you will earn an incredible view of Swamp Canyon, the Sheep Creek Drainage System, and the Willis Creek Drainage System.
Getting there
From the Bryce Canyon Visitors Center, head south down Bryce Canyon Scenic Drive for 9.5mi then turn left into the Fairview Parking lot on the east side of the highway. The Piracy Point Trail begins here.

Piracy Point Description
The Piracy Point Trail is a short out-and-back hike to a stunning viewpoint. This trail is very short, so if you are looking for a big day out exploring the backcountry, this is not the hike for you. If you are looking for a beautiful spot to stretch your legs and catch some views, Piracy Point is the place to be!
From the Fairview Parking lot follow the trail northeast for a few hundred yards to Piracy Point.
From Piracy Point, look across Swamp Canyon and the Sheep Creek Drainage System to the north, and the Willis Creek Drainage System to the south. From Piracy Point you can also see the ponderosa pine forest and the spruce-fir forest meeting each other at their respective ecological boundaries. At Piracy Point, take a moment to appreciate the incredible flora and fauna of the Utah landscape below.
