Fenland Trail Description

From the parking lot and trail sign, follow the flat trail into the forest. You will soon cross a large wooden bridge that reaches a junction. Stay left here and follow the signs for Fenland Loop. Beware: there are many entries and exits on this loop, so make sure you follow the signage.

At the next junction, take a right and continue along Echo Creek as the trail begins to narrow. There are various benches and viewpoints along this section that are great for taking a break and enjoying views. Look for Muskrat and Beaver in the creek; you’ll be lucky if you can spot one!

Continue along the Creekside trail admiring the views as you go. You will likely be able to hear the highway when you come to a small junction with a bridge. Continue on the trail here, as this bridge joins Vermillion Lake Road. The trail will loop you back to the original bridge you crossed. Turn left, and cross the bridge back to the parking lot.

The parking lot has pit toilets and picnic tables if you choose to spend some extra time here. You can also follow the sidewalk here into town along the Bow River Trail.
