Hiking the Välliste runt takes you through forest and up the mountain with miles of views. Here you will also find many mountain flowers which thrive in this high and cold environment. For example, the white “Isranunkel”, “Fjällglim” and many more.
Getting there
From Are take the E14 towards Undersåker and turn right to the sign “Trillevallen.” Drive to “Trillevallens högfjällshotell” there you can park your car.

Route Description for Välliste runt
The Valliste Runt hike starts on the backside of “Trillevallens Högfjällshotell”. From there, follow a track through the forest, over mires and brooks. Sweet little houses and trees line up to the mountain. Here you turn right and will walk on a track around the mountain top with magnificent views over the mountains and lakes.
The track leads you to the top where there is also an open cabin with history boards. Enjoy the views and go down again on the side with slopes – there is also good chances to find snow from the winter that you can slip down on.
When you come down to the flat ground you just follow the big gravel trail back. There are many deer here, and on the right side you will see a reindeer coral, where they tend to gather.
Then you are back in the parking lot again.

If you want to stay in one of the sweet houses with mountain views you can just google “Trillevallen stugor”. They have great prices.

This short and simple walk is a great trail for newbies and family hikers. Even though it seems pretty easy, I still recommend doing it in a group. It's just more fun that way.
