Snake Indian Falls Backpacking Trail Description
Begin your hike to Snake Indian Falls from the trailhead parking lot. This is the beginning of the North Boundary Trail, as well as the route to Celestine Lake. Follow the old fire road and cross a bridge over the Snake Indian River. Stay on the main trail and pass a junction that leads to Celestine Lake. Some may choose to take a detour and camp at this lovely campsite.
Gain some rolling elevation after the junction and descend to the Shalebanks Campground. Continue on up another climb and descend to Seldom Inn Campground, which is closest to the falls. Set up camp at Seldom Inn and continue on for roughly 100m to the falls. A great itinerary for a two-day trip is to hike or bike all the way into Seldom Inn Campground and enjoy some time at the falls before spending the night and turning back. If you are looking to shorten the daily distance, a great idea is to take the short detour to Celestine Lake and camp for the first night before proceeding to Seldom Inn for the second night.
