Setting out from the parking area near the trailhead, you will make your way east along the road for 0.2mi, before branching off to the left on a wide dirt track. Continuing on to the east, the scenery will begin to change as the trail leads you further into the canyon landscape.
While you will now be surrounded by hills, the terrain underfoot is actually quite mild with only a gentle grade, making for a pleasant walk outdoors. Take your time here to appreciate the beauty of the natural surroundings and keep an eye out for the bountiful wildlife that can be found in the area.
Eventually, you will arrive at the end point of the trail, which is a great place to pause for a quick rest and a snack to fuel up. Afterwards, you will retrace your steps along the same path to return to the trailhead where you began your adventure along the Sycamore Canyon Trail.
