Pacific Valley Bluff Trail Description
Indulge yourself in beautiful maritime panoramas along the Pacific Bluff Trail. This epic adventure traces the craggy bluffs that bound the Pacific. Conveniently located off the highway, this makes for a great spot to stretch your legs. Note there are gates along this trail designed to let hikers in but keep cattle out! Additionally, it is important to remain on the marked path as there is poison oak in this area. Located directly on the coast, expect windy and foggy conditions.
Setting out from the trailhead, the Pacific Valley Bluff Trail travels west through the grassy headlands abundant with wildflowers in the summer months! At the first intersection, keep left, and you will be guided along the coastal bluffs—keep your distance from the edge while enjoying the wonderful views. Keep left at the next two junctions, and you will be led north along the headlands to Prewitt Creek.
At this point, you have met the trail’s end. Turn around and retrace your footing back to the junction. Here, keep left and retrace your footing back to the trailhead.
