See Canyon and Drew Trail Loop Description
The See Canyon and Drew Trail Loop is a fun adventure with varied scenery, ranging from the green-framed headwaters of the See Spring to the tall canyon walls of See Canyon and the canopy of trees on Drew Trail. There’s a campground atop the mesa you can use, or you can explore the other trails that are accessible from the end of this one.
The trail gets a bit hard to follow the further you get into the canyon. A downloaded map will be a lifesaver! Additionally, poles and good boots will be helpful if you want to finish the climb at the end of the canyon.
From the trailhead, you can choose one of two approaches. The first is to hike towards the canyon, ascend to the top of the mesa, cross the plateau, and descend Drew and Highline Trail. This makes for a more strenuous climb. The second option is to ascend Drew/Highline first, cross the plateau, and descend through See Canyon. Most users report counterclockwise as being a bit more gradual, but the loop is beautiful either way.
