Difficulty Rating:
If you’re hiking to Bell Rock from the Bell Rock Trailhead, Phone Trail can be used instead of the Bell Rock Loop Extension to reach the trails at the base of the rock. This is a short connector that sometimes has less traffic on it than the other trail to Bell Rock, so give it a shot on your way out or back.
Getting there
The trailhead for the Phone Trail is off the Red Rock Scenic Byway.

Phone Trail Description
Phone Trail is an alternative way to reach Bell Rock from the Bell Rock Trailhead. You can take it instead of Bell Rock Loop Extension to get to the trails at the base of the rock, so while the view is the same, you might have a little more breathing room since most hikers will take the Bell Rock Extension.
From the Bell Rock Trailhead, there are three main routes that branch out. You’ll want to take the one on your far right closest to the road. It’s a very short jaunt to the base of Bell Rock, where you can climb up if you’d like. Check out our Bell Rock hike if you want to know more about climbing Bell Rock.
When you’re ready, turn back and retrace your steps to the trailhead.
