Honanki Heritage Site Hike Description
The Honanki Heritage site is an incredible spot to appreciate the remnants of early human life in the Sedona area. This site has preserved rock art and ruins from some of the original indigenous inhabitants of this land.
This hike is easy and suitable for all skill levels. Since this is an important cultural site, please remember to be respectful. Don’t let kids climb on the rocks and, of course, don’t touch the ruins or the rock art. We also recommend bringing water on this hike despite its short length if you’re visiting in the summer heat.
From the parking area, head north to the path. Stay left where the trail splits and head towards the bluff, where you’ll have a great view of the cliff dwellings. Check out the rock art and snap some photos to look back on. Continue around the loop and return on the other trail, which will lead you back to the trailhead.
