Hermit's Castle Walk Description
The Hermit’s Castle Walk may be a short adventure with limited elevation gain. However, it still makes for a memorable experience, thanks to the glistening sea punctuated by a whimsical stony castle! However, do note that this walk can get muddy during shoulder seasons, so come prepared with the proper footwear.
Setting out from the Achmelvich Beach Car Park, you’ll see two paths. One goes directly to the beach, while the other trail kickstarts the Hermit’s Castle Walk. With your back facing your car, take the path going left. At the next junction, go right to head towards the beach, where you’ll turn left to walk along it before joining the path. Soon, you’ll reach a junction, but you’ll eventually walk both these paths, so it’s up to you where you want to go first! Enjoy exploring the area, checking out the views, especially of Hermit’s Castle, before returning and retracing your steps back to the car park.
