The Broom Hill Circular Walk is a fantastic route in Cairngorms National Park that features beautiful view sand a good variety of terrain. While out walking the trail, you will traverse the open countryside and pass through woodland terrain, before traversing the summit of Broom Hill and Pressendye for scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to bring bug repellent, as there can often be swarms of flies along the trail.
Getting there
The trailhead for the Broom Hill Circular walk can be found at the corner of Bridge Street and The Square in Tarland.

Broom Hill Circular Walk Description
Whether the aim of your walk is to get out into the countryside for some fresh air or to climb to the top of a few hills for scenic views across the surrounding landscape, the Broom Hill Circular Walk in Cairngorms National Park will be sure not to disappoint.
Setting out from the trailhead in the centre of Tarland, you will follow Melgum Road to the northwest and leave the village behind for the wide open countryside. Here, you will pass by countless fields on either side of you and take in the beauty of the agricultural landscape, before climbing uphill along a stretch of woodland.
Reaching the top of a small ridge, you will make your way east to the summit of Broom Hill, where you will enjoy sweeping views across the park. Continuing further along the ridge will take you over Pressendye, before heading downhill through a small wood. Here, you will once again traverse the open countryside on the way back into Tarland.
