Walking the Branscombe to Beer trail is a fun and fairly easy-going coastal journey that will allow you to experience the natural beauty of the South Devon coast. While out walking the trail, you will visit the sandy shores of Branscombe beach before traversing the rugged terrain along Beer Head for some amazing views overlooking the English Channel. This is a point-to-point trail, meaning that you will need to either double the overall distance to account for a return or make travel arrangements to get back to the trailhead.
Getting there
To get to the trailhead for the Branscombe to Beer Walk from Branscombe, head east toward Mill Lane for 0.3mi and make a slight right to continue on for 290ft. Make a right here and follow the road for 0.4mi, keeping right for another 485ft to reach the car park. Continue on foot to the northwest to get to the trailhead, or simply shorten the walk by starting at the car park.

Although it is only a short point-to-point trail, the Branscombe to Beer Walk is a popular journey thanks to its changes in elevation and stunning views across the water. Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southeast across the countryside to arrive at the beautiful sandy expanse of Branscombe Beach. From here, you will continue east and climb uphill along the rugged coastal terrain to reach Beer Head, where you will enjoy some gorgeous views overlooking the English Channel. Continue on to the north and traverse the hillside, enjoying the final views across the water on the way into the endpoint of the walk in Beer.
