The rolling meadows, soaring valleys and unique limestone pavement along the Langstrothdale Walk make this path a favourite among locals and tourists. Follow along the River Wharfe and discover the beauty that this area holds. On this walk, you will also see Lime kiln, Yockenthwaite Stone Circle and Deepdale.

Getting there

To get to the Langstrothdale Walk from Skipton, head northwest on Mill Bridge/B6265 toward Water Street and take a slight right onto Grassington Road/B6265. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on Grassington Road/B6265, and continue onto B6160. Turn left onto Dubb's Lane, and continue onto Stubbing Lane, and in 2.6mi, you will arrive at your destination.

Langstrothdale Trail Description

The Langstrothdale Walk is a beautiful stroll along the English countryside. Take in the beautiful views of Lime Kiln, Yockenthwaite Stone Circle and Deepdale as you journey along this path. Beginning at the car park, head towards the bridge that crosses the River Wharfe. This walk will follow the river throughout. Walking along the rushing waters, you will arrive at Lime kiln.

Continuing, you will come across the Yockenthwaite Stone Circle, take in the views here and then proceed to follow the route. You will then arrive at Deepdale and come across a second bridge. Follow this, and you will come back to the car park where you began, as this is a circuit walk.
