Getting there

To reach the parking area for the Hoy Creek & Scott Creek Trail from the Lougheed Highway/BC-7, turn off onto Pinetree Way North and follow it for 1.1mi. Turn right onto Trevor Wingrove Way and you will find the parking area on your right in 722ft.

Hoy Creek & Scott Creek Trail Description

The Hoy Creek & Scott Creek Trail is an 5.3mi out-and-back hiking route in Coquitlam that sets out from Town Centre Park and follows these two creeks as they wind their way through the city. While the route does pass through some urban areas, the areas around the creeks are often forested and pass through stretches of city parks, making for a pleasant half-day hike that almost feels as though you have left the city. Graced with flat, easy to navigate terrain and charming scenery, this hike also contains interpretive signs along the trail that provide information on the various plant and animal species in the area. All of these things make for a fun urban trail that can be enjoyed by hikers of all skill levels, including families with young children.
