The trail to Edworthy Falls is an exciting trail with many options to enjoy different views and landmarks. There are excellent mountain views along the way, two sets of falls, and of course Elbow Lake. The trail is a great option for families that can endure a half-day hike.
Getting there
From the junction with the Trans Canada Highway, take Highway 40 southbound past Kananaskis Lakes turnoff. Continue on until you reach the Elbow Lake turnoff on your left.

Edworthy Falls Trail Description
This trail is definitely worth putting on the bucket list. It is the perfect moderate hike for those searching for an exciting half-day effort. From the parking lot, head off towards Elbow Lake, which you will reach after 0.9mi. This is a destination of its own, equipped with a backcountry campsite that makes for a great break spot. The trail continues through the forest, offering some clearings with views. You’ll reach a small trail that leads you to both sets of falls, the right trail to the smaller falls. Check out both, and be sure to spend some time enjoying these incredible landmarks before turning back.
